Community Resources

The Linn County Medical Society has a strong commitment to improving the quality and access to health care for residents of Linn County.  We are happy to feature the following community resources:

Evacuation Service

Would you need help evacuating during an emergency: such as fire, flood, tornado or extended power outage?

If you, or someone close to you, has a disability or special need which would require help to evacuate in an emergency, you should enroll on the Special Needs Registry. These needs could include: visual, hearing, or mobility impaired, mental or intellectual disabilities, or medical conditions.

How to sign up before an emergency occurs?

There are three ways to register -  please use the method that you are most comfortable with:

  1. Call United Way 2-1-1 by dialing 2-1-1 or 1-866-469-2211
  2. Complete and return a Special Needs Registry Card, which is located in the Yellow Book Telephone Directory
  3. Go to www.linncounty-ema.org and complete the Special Needs Card online.
